Original Serbian UNICEF Leaflet - Comic ''Superman: Deadly Legacy'' (1996)

This Superman comic was spread among Serbian children during the war in Bosnia. The comic learned children the important lesson that they should not pick up bombs and landmines because they could explode at any time.

One of the initiators of the idea to make a comic was the First Lady of the United States Hillary Clinton, she came up with the idea after visiting Bosnia and seeing a coloring book that warns children about explosives. The US government worked together with UNICEF and DC Comics to create this Superman comic. Peacekeeping soldiers of NATO spread the comic in the region.

The comic was spread in 3 languages, English, Serbian, and Croatian.

Dit stripboek was verspreid onder de Servische kinderen tijdens de oorlog in Bosnië. De strip bracht een boodschap met zich mee, dat kinderen niet zomaar landmijnen en bommen moeten oprapen omdat het gevaarlijk was.

Een van de initiatiefnemers van de strip was Hillary Clinton, ze kwam met het idee nadat ze tijdens haar bezoek in Bosnië een kleurboek zag voor kinderen waar ze ook waarschuwen voor explosieven. De Amerikaanse overheid werkte samen met UNICEF en DC Comics om de Superman strip te maken. Vervolgens werden ze verspreid in de regio door NATO vredesmilitairen.

Het stripboek is in drie talen verspreid, Engels, Servisch en Kroatisch.
