Civilians run from the vicinity of a blazing house near Aschaffenburg, Germany, after a US tank destroyer set fire to the building, which was being used by enemy snipers. Aschaffenburg, 20 miles southeast of Frankfurt-on-Main, was cleared of resisting German forces, March 28, 1945.
