Original WW2 Dutch Waffen SS Press Photo - Funeral parade for Hendrik Seyffardt, the Hague (1943)
Hendrik Seyffardt was a General in the Dutch army until he retired in 1934. During the war, Reichskommissar Arthur Seyss-Inquart appointed him to recruit new Dutch Waffen SS volunteers. In 1943 Seyffardt was fatally shot in front of his home by the resistance group CS-6. His funeral service was held in the ''Binnenhof'' in the Hague. To commemorate him the Waffen SS named A Dutch Waffen SS division after him named the ''48. SS-Freiwilligen-Panzergrenadier-Regiment General Seyffardt''
