Original WW2 Dutch Waffen SS Poster - SS execution notice poster after an attack on the Mayor of Haarlem (1943)

In 1943 a resistance member threw a hand grenade at the mayor of Haarlem, and the assassination attempt failed, one day later the resistance killed the Wehrmacht soldier Alois Bamberger. As a reprisal for these attacks, the SS under the command of Rauter sent 102 civilians to the concentration camp Vught, and the SS also executed a total of 10 resistance members from Haarlem and Ijmuiden consisting of three Jewish people and 7 communists.

The poster has some repairs with acid-free tape.

In 1943 gooide een verzetsman een handgranaat naar de burgemeester van Haarlem, en de moordpoging mislukte, een dag later doodde het verzet de Wehrmacht-soldaat Alois Bamberger. Als represaille voor deze aanvallen stuurde de SS onder leiding van Rauter 102 burgers naar het concentratiekamp Vught, daarnaast executeerde de SS in totaal 10 verzetsleden uit Haarlem en IJmuiden, bestaande uit drie joden en zeven communisten.

De poster heeft enkele reparaties met zuurvrij tape.
