Very interesting still of the German propaganda film made in Poteau just after the ambush on the C platoon of the 32nd Squadron of the US Army by the 1st SS Panzer Division (Leibstandarte Adolf Hitler) on the 18th of December 1944. In the picture, there is a decorated (with a Nahkampfspange) SS soldier walking towards the camera with other SS soldiers behind him. The man on the left is carrying a Sturmgewehr STG44. On the right side, a Jeep and a burning US Halftrack are visible.
