This is an interesting large document set of about 50 documents regarding the Dutch pastor of Molkwerum (Friesland) and Niekerk (Groningen) G. J. J. Liefting, born in Arnhem (1910). Liefting lived in Molkwerum (municipality Koudum, Hemelumer Oldephaert en Noordwolde) with his wife Andriesa Henriette Maria Six Dijkstra. After the war, he moved to Niekerk (Groningen) to work at the church there.
The set consists of personal documents, documents regarding his church activity, and documents regarding his work to help Dutch collaborators after the war who were in social struggle.
Among the personal documents are his bicycle exemption, a persoonsbewijs of his wife (photo removed), evacuation documents, Red Cross letters, and other documents.
Two envelopes with letters warn Liefting about not talking about the German invasion of the Netherlands, and the current political situation of Holland during its occupation. There is also a letter from 1942 about the preacher & resistance member Koeno Gravemeijer, who was imprisoned in the St. Michielsgestel camp.
20 documents in this set are from the post-war period of Liefting's life with the ''Stichting Toezicht Politieke Delinquenten'', a group, worried about the social rehabilitation of (interned) Dutch collaborators. He was a spiritual caregiver of the prisoners to talk about life and their problems. The collaborators he supervised were from Oldekerk (Groningen) (included in this set is a name list consisting of approx. 20 names. This list is not pictured).
He also supervised a woman born in Grootegast in 1923 who stayed in Niekerk because her parents were interned as collaborators. Her diary from 1945-1946 is added to this group, most pages are loose, 38 pages with text. She wrote about the day her parents got arrested and how ''soldiers'' wanted to lure her with candy and cigarettes. She also writes about a visit to her father in the prison camp.
Letters sent to Liefting are also included in the set. This is a very interesting set for a researcher and/or a local collector!

Het betreft een interessante grote documentenset van ongeveer 50 documenten betreffende de Nederlandse predikant van Molkwerum (Friesland) en Niekerk (Groningen) G.J.J. Liefting, geboren in Arnhem (1910). Liefting woonde in Molkwerum (gemeente Koudum, Hemelumer Oldephaert en Noordwolde) met zijn vrouw Andriesa Henriette Maria Six Dijkstra. Na de oorlog verhuisde hij naar Niekerk (Groningen) om daar in de kerk te werken.
De set bestaat uit persoonlijke documenten, documenten over zijn kerkelijke activiteiten en documenten over zijn werk om na de oorlog Nederlandse collaborateurs te helpen die in sociale strijd verkeerden.
Onder de persoonlijke documenten bevinden zich zijn fietsvrijstelling, een persoonsbewijs van zijn vrouw (foto verwijderd), evacuatiedocumenten, Rode Kruisbrieven en andere documenten.
Twee enveloppen met brieven waarschuwen Liefting ervoor niet te praten over de Duitse inval in Nederland en de huidige politieke situatie van Nederland tijdens de bezetting. Ook is er een brief uit 1942 over de predikant en verzetsman Koeno Gravemeijer, die gevangen zat in het kamp St. Michielsgestel.
Twintig documenten in deze set komen uit de naoorlogse periode van Lieftings leven bij de Stichting Toezicht Politieke Delinquenten, een groep die zich zorgen maakte over de sociale rehabilitatie van (geïnterneerde) Nederlandse collaborateurs. Hij was een geestelijke verzorger van de gevangenen om over het leven en hun problemen te praten. De medewerkers die hij begeleidde kwamen uit Oldekerk (Groningen) (bij deze set zit een namenlijst bestaande uit ca. 20 namen. Deze lijst staat niet op de foto).
Ook hield hij toezicht op een in 1923 in Grootegast geboren vrouw dat in Niekerk bleef omdat haar ouders als collaborateurs waren geïnterneerd. Haar dagboek uit 1945-1946 is aan deze groep toegevoegd, de meeste pagina's zijn los, 38 pagina's met tekst. Ze schreef over de dag dat haar ouders werden gearresteerd en hoe ‘soldaten’ haar wilden lokken met snoep en sigaretten. Ook schrijft ze over een bezoek aan haar vader in het gevangenkamp.
