Original WW2 Flemish Waffen SS Brochure - Picture map of the Dr. Reimond Tollenaere Marsch Brussel (1942)
Reimond Tollenaere was the propaganda leader of the Flemish VNV. During the occupation of Belgium, he joined the Zwarte Brigade, a paramilitary organisation of the Belgian VNV. After the invasion of the Soviet Union by Germany, he became a Flemish Waffen SS volunteer and joined the Flemish Legion as an SS-Untersturmführer. In Kopcy, close to Novgorod, he got hit by friendly artillery fire of the Spanish Blue Division Azul.
To commemorate Tollenaere, the Flemish nationalists organised the Dr. Reimond Tollenaere Marsch in Brussels on the 12th of July 1942. This map is a picture map of this gathering. It includes a picture of Tollenaere in SS uniform and his grave; Staf de Clercq can be seen in many pictures.
There are a total of 23 sheets, including a fold-out and two text documents. The map itself was damaged and repaired with acid-free tape.

Reimond Tollenaere was de propagandaleider van het Vlaamse VNV. Tijdens de bezetting van België sloot hij zich aan bij de Zwarte Brigade, een paramilitaire organisatie van het Belgische VNV. Na de inval van Duitsland in de Sovjet-Unie werd hij vrijwilliger bij de Vlaamse Waffen-SS en trad hij als SS-Untersturmführer toe tot het Vlaams Legioen. In Kopcy, vlakbij Novgorod, werd hij geraakt door eigen artillerievuur van de Spaanse Blauwe Divisie Azul.
Ter nagedachtenis aan Tollenaere organiseerden de Vlaams-nationalisten op 12 juli 1942 de Dr. Reimond Tollenaere Mars in Brussel. Deze kaart is een fotokaart van deze bijeenkomst. De kaart bevat een afbeelding van Tollenaere in SS-uniform en zijn graf; Staf de Clercq is op veel foto's te zien.
Er zijn in totaal 23 vellen, waaronder een uitvouwblad en twee tekstdocumenten. De map zelf was beschadigd en gerepareerd met zuurvrije tape.
