Original WW2 German Document - Wehrpass Atlantikwall IJmuiden, Holland (1940-1945)

Wehrpass of a German soldier from Lingen, Ems. His Wehrpass starts in 1937. After preparing for a few months, he was in the army that invaded Belgium, France, and Luxembourg in the Blitzkrieg of May 1940. He fought in La Fere, Aisne, Champagne,  Saone, and more. In June and July, he was stationed at the Demarkationslinie. On the 16th of February 1941, he was stationed in the Netherlands, with the Werkstatt Kompanie 182, later with the Kraftfahrer Ersatz Abteilung 15. In 1943, he joined the Artillerie Regiment 347; this group was stationed at the Atlantik Wall in North-Holland, most probably he was stationed around Festung IJmuiden.

On the 1st of September 1944, he was sent to the front in Belgium, fighting against the US and British troops. His Wehrpass ends on the 28th of March 1945. Interesting for further research!

Wehrpass van een Duitse soldaat uit Lingen, Ems. Zijn Wehrpass begint in 1937. Na een paar maanden voorbereiding diende hij in het leger dat België, Frankrijk en Luxemburg binnenviel tijdens de Blitzkrieg van mei 1940. Hij vocht in La Fère, Aisne, Champagne, Saône en meer. In juni en juli was hij gestationeerd bij de Demarkationslinie. Op 16 februari 1941 werd hij gestationeerd in Nederland, bij de Werkstatt Kompanie 182, later bij de Kraftfahrer Ersatz Abteilung 15. In 1943 sloot hij zich aan bij het Artillerie Regiment 347; deze groep was gestationeerd bij de Atlantikwall in Noord-Holland, hoogstwaarschijnlijk was hij gestationeerd rond Festung IJmuiden.

Op 1 september 1944 werd hij naar het front in België gestuurd, waar hij vocht tegen de Amerikaanse en Britse troepen. Zijn Wehrpass eindigt op 28 maart 1945. Interessant voor verder onderzoek!
