Original WW2 Dutch Brochure - Fokker D23 fighter plane sales brochure (1938)

Very rare sales brochure of the Fokker D 23 airplane, presented during the 16e Exposition Internationale de L'Aeronautique in Paris in 1938. The brochure is set up in two languages, French and English, and is presented with pictures and drawings of the airplane. It includes a cross-section of the airplane made by H. A. Somberg, and the original information sheet is still present.

The Fokker D.23 or D.XXIII was a one-person fighter plane with two Walter Sagitta I-SR motors, one in front of the cockpit and one in the back. One mock-up prototype has been built and was flown on the 30th of May 1939 by the famous Dutch pilot Gerben Sonderman. One of the points of criticism with this airplane was that the propeller at the back could harm the pilot if he had to escape in case of an emergency. The prototype was deconstructed in 1941.

Zeer zeldzame verkoopbrochure van het Fokker D 23-vliegtuig, gepresenteerd tijdens de 16e Internationale Luchtvaarttentoonstelling in Parijs in 1938. De brochure is in twee talen, Frans en Engels, en bevat foto's en tekeningen van het vliegtuig. Er is een dwarsdoorsnede van het vliegtuig opgenomen, gemaakt door H. A. Somberg, en het originele informatieblad is nog aanwezig.

De Fokker D.23 of D.XXIII was een eenpersoons jachtvliegtuig met twee Walter Sagitta I-SR-motoren, één voor de cockpit en één achterin. Er werd één prototype gebouwd, dat op 30 mei 1939 werd gevlogen door de beroemde Nederlandse piloot Gerben Sonderman. Een van de kritiekpunten op dit vliegtuig was dat de achterste propeller de piloot zou kunnen verwonden bij een noodlanding. Het prototype werd in 1941 ontmanteld.
